Christmas Tags

I'm am really lovin' these adorable Christmas tags I made at a Fetti Fans class at The Little Blue House this week.

This tag I used for the Kindergarten teacher's gift card. I tied it to a cute coffee mug.

These were a super easy trio. When opened the "to and from" are stamped. I added a little Wink of Stella on the words and the leaf edges.

Merry Christmas Tags

Hope y'all are having a wonderful holiday season. I'm really lovin' this warmer December weather here in Texas. I know the kids miss the snow, but they've never had to drive in it 6 months out of the year. Here is one of my favorite Little Blue House tag kits so far. So sparkly with lots of Stickles and Wink of Stella. Love, Love, Love it!

I think Tracy has a few more kits left so check out her site by clicking on the link above. Happy Holidays to all of you! Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Have A Spooky Day

I anticipate today to be crazy! One of our moving trucks are coming, it's raining, and the little ghosts and goblins will be out in force. I miss decorating for halloween:-( I did, however, get this cute little tag set done.

Altered Paint Palette

Hello crafting friends:-) Today I would like to share with you this fun mixed media project I did at a class at The Little Blue House this month. I forgot how much fun it is to play with paint, and stencils, and molding paste. I started with a plain wooden paint palette and Mod Podged some patterned card stock and dictionary pages. Next, I stenciled images with molding paste. After that was dry, I adhered some paint brushes and spritzed some distress inks. I embellished the remaining with a painted metal flower, metal hook with an altered tag, distressed flowers and ribbon, and "scrabble tiles". I added some pictures of a few of my crafting idols. I will be displaying somewhere in my new craft space to keep me inspired.

Trick Or Treat

Hello crafters! Today I wanted to share this adorable jar I made at The Little Blue House a few days ago. This little guy was done using a wooden egg, old pages from a book, and Mod Podge. I painted and decorated it and adhered it to what looks like a large bottle cap. The base was a pre-made wood disk that I painted. The glass vase was adhered to the wood base with E6000. The lid is actually interchangeable. I made one for Thanksgiving that I'll share next month.

Jill-O-Lantern Mixed Media

The fall weather has finally arrived here in Texas. It was nice to wake up to temps in the 60's F. I made this adorable mixed media on canvas at The Little Blue House here in Keller.

I started by mod podging papers to a pre-made canvas frame. Once all of the papers were dry, I added paint with an old credit card. Next, I used some stencils and white paint. "Jill" was assembled onto the canvas with mod podge as well as her fabric dress and arms. The "spooky" words were stenciled in black and the remaining objects were glued on. Such a fun day! Can't wait to do another class.

I {heart} Fall

Happy fall crafters:-) I usually love this time of year with the cool crisp air and colorful leaves, but in Texas, it's still in the 90's. For a midwesterner, that would be a very hot summer day! I don't recall that it was even that warm in Sydney in the fall. So, to get me in the spirit, I made this super cute tag set for my display blocks. I made this from the new kit available at The Little Blue House. It was very easy to assemble since everything was pre-cut. Hope you enjoy your fall (or spring for my Aussie friends).

Thinking of you

Made a couple of cards for the CAS(E) this sketch! and Crafty Calendar card challenges. Okay, I got a little carried away and went outside of the "simple" definition, but I thought I'd post it anyway. I love using my friends stamp sets, Iron Gate Stamps. The first card I used was from the Weathervane set and the second card was from her Birdhouse set.

Happy Birthday, Gabby!

Oh, my oldest is 18 today! Ugh!  I can't be old enough to have an 18 year old! Although, I still have a four year old that keeps me young {at heart};-) I made this birthday tag for her. I had a kit from a class offered at Catchy Crafts . I had to make this tag because we have a Westie. Turns out I am falling in love with using these Julie Nutting stamps. It's like making paper dolls when I was a little girl:-) I'm using this for the Crafty Calendar challenge this month.

Freshly Made Sketch #174

As I do every beginning of the year, I promise myself to use what I have and not to buy anything until I've depleted at least half of my stash.  So, here is a card using leftover patterned paper and stamps from a card kit I bought at  Catchy Crafts in Hornsby, Australia last year. I'm not sure the stack the paper came from, but the stamp set is from Hot Off The Press. I made this card for this week's Freshly Made Sketch Challenge.

Happy Lunar New Year

Happy Lunar New Year! I wanted to do something different for the Sketch Saturday challenge. These darling stamps I used come from Iron Gate Stamps' Fortune Cookie set. The patterned card stock I used is by Graphic 45.
